The Capel Sound Invitational was built for maximum fun, maximum send, and the kind of sailing that reminds you why you fell in love with the sport in the first place.
Created by two progressive clubs with a shared passion for off the beach sailing, it's more than just another regatta. It's a celebration of the people, the culture and the community that make our sport what it is.
We're taking a different tack. Free to enter, built around the competitors and designed to stand apart, this is an event that puts the experience first, on and off the water. Whether you're chasing the podium or simply another great day on the bay, everyone's invited.

More than 500 sailors, paddlers and participants on various watercraft.

The Capel Sound Invitational is about more than what happens on the water. Every race finishes with an unforgettable Après Sail, where the host club serves up great food, cold drinks and a beach party worth sticking around for. It's where stories are shared, rivalries become friendships, and the best memories are made.
Every club tries to outdo the last. This year, Rye Yacht Club has the honours. Dust off your best '80s kit and we'll see you there.
